Supplies for the army |
Within a very short period of time there
have been made up and shipped from Columbus, Ga., supplies as follows: |
Six car
loads clothing and shoes for the army at Richmond, Va., 30,000
garments to Gen. {Lee?} 5,000 garments to
army of Western Virginia, {shipments going to
the east would have started on the Muscogee RR} 7,000 garments
to Army {in?} Arkansas {shipments
going to the west would have started on the Montgomery & West
Point RR} 17,000 garments to Gen {end of
