A fast locomotive |
The "Edgar Snowden"
is the name of a small engine brought hither from the
Alexandria & Washington Railroad {Alexandria,
Loudoun & Hampshire RR}, which has been repaired at the shops of the {Virginia}
Central Railroad Company, in this city. Its speed has been
tested and proved to be very rapid; but its power of draft is not
sufficient to make it available for heavy service over the road in
this vicinity. |
