Important Railway connection |
The House of Delegates has passed a bill
to authorize a connection between the Orange & Alexandria and
Manassas Gap Railroads, and the Richmond, Fredericksburg & Potomac
Railroad. This connection has been urged as a military necessity, and
the Commanding Generals of the Army of the Potomac cordially approve
the schemes. It is now before the appropriate committee of the Senate,
and will probably pass unanimously, at an early period. |
