The Piedmont Road |
The community will be gratified to learn,
says the Danville Register, that the Piedmont Railroad is now
doing much better service than formerly. Some of the more serious
difficulties which were in the way of the running of the trains with
promptness and regularity, have been partially overcome, and we may
confidently look for still further improvements. The country is
scarcely aware of obstacles the management of the road have to contend
with. |
It is hardly proper for us to allude here
to the amount of business now done upon the line, in the way of
transportation, &c. |
