From the Georgia Railroad |
Trains are running up as far as
Greensboro, on the Georgia Road. As far as can be heard from, there
are no rumors of the Yankees. |
The factory near Covington was not burned.
Mr. Harris, one of the proprietors, lost about $140,000 of property,
by the enemy camping on his plantation. |
The people in Newton and DeKalb counties
are suffering for salt, and it is to be hoped that the Georgia Road
will be extended to Stone Mountain in order to afford them relief. |
