The Mobile Mailboats
The steamer Oregon left here this morning at 7 o'clock, carrying the mail of yesterday and the day previous, with a large number of passengers for Mobile. We are informed, however, that this will be the last trip of the Mobile mailboats, in consequence of apprehended dangers from being intercepted by Federal war steamers, and that the mails will hereafter be sent by railroad via Jackson, Miss. {New Orleans, Jackson & Great Northern RR}, and thence to Mobile, by the Mobile & Ohio Road.
