The Baton Rouge Advocate, of the 8th inst.,
says: |
We learn that the directors of
the Baton Rouge & Grosse Tete Railroad have granted leave of absence to
several of their employees who have volunteered to fight for our
country, and hold their situations in reserve for them when they return,
and continue their salaries during the period of their absence. This is
the patriotic spirit that animates all our people. |
