| The East{ern} Texas Railroad |
| The State Gazette says: |
| A bill granting relief to the
East Texas Railroad, has passes both houses. It allows them to draw
the $6000 per mile loan on the completion of five miles, and gives
them $7500 in land scrip at 50 cents per acre, in addition to the
sixteen sections per mile allowed by the general law, being to make up
a depreciation of 25 per cent, on $30,000 of United States bonds which
they claim are now depreciated. |
