We copy from the Selma
Sentinel, of the 4th: |
We learn of a contract having
been entered into among responsible parties to construct the railroad
between Selma and Montgomery, and that a large number of hands will be
engaged on it in a few days. Complete arrangements have been made for
rails to put the road in running order at once. The work, we learn, is
to commence both at Montgomery and on the south side of the river at
Selma at the same time. |
