| This road offers an important
inducement to travelers, in the fact that four hours' time is saved
between here and Memphis And, then, by this route there is no danger of
detention or of missing connection along the road. Persons who have gone
over it speak in the highest terms of the comfort of the cars, the
accommodation of the conductors, and last, but not least, of the
excellence of the fare at the meal stations. We hope that such exertions
to accommodate the public will meet with the proper encouragement, and
that when the traveling community see efforts made to add to their
comfort, they will sustain such efforts by patronage. |
