Accident on the Jackson Railroad {New
Orleans, Jackson & Great Northern RR} |
Yesterday morning, about 8
o'clock, the up and down passenger trains of the Jackson Railroad came
in collision at Kenner station, which resulted in a general smashing
up of locomotives and baggage cars, a grand fright among the
passengers, but, by a miracle, nothing more. We have not been able to
learn the cause of this accident, and cannot understand how it should
have been allowed to occur. |
