| On the afternoon of the 21st
inst. the San Antonio & Mexican Gulf railroad was to commence operations
for the transportation of Passengers and freight between Lavaca and the
present terminus, six miles from Victoria. |
| The passenger cars, balance of
chairs, cross ties, etc., arrived at Lavaca on the 18th. |
