| The iron we contracted for, is
ours at last; but our bonds are given to the Confederate States,
instead of to the Mt. Savage Iron Company. That was a costly letter
that Mr. Winslow wrote. Patriotism is frequently expensive. The rich
Iron Company might as well pay a portion of the expense of the war as
any other company of Capitalists. |
