The Tallapoosa Times is informed by Col. Slaughter that
he finds the people in fine spirits in regard to the progress of the
above road; they are determined to push the enterprise forward and let
hard times take care of themselves. |
There are at this time some two hundred hands at work
on the road between Opelika and Waverly. |
The tightness of the times, says the Times, of course,
retards its progress for a time, but the work shall get through. |
