| From a private source we learn
that the Confederate Congress has passed a bill to complete the
construction of the Vicksburg, Shreveport & Texas Railroad, and that the
work will be completed in 9 months from date. This, together with the
proposed telegraph to our city will be of great benefit, and make
Shreveport a business place. |
