Rail Road Between Montgomery and Union
Springs |
The Montgomery correspondent
of the Mobile Advertiser writes on the 4th: |
It is contemplated by the
Confederate Government to complete that portion of the Montgomery
& Eufaula Railroad lying between this point and Union Springs.
Here the road will meet the Columbus and Mobile Road, which is
finished to Union Springs. Agents from the Confederate Government are
now here ascertaining the amount of work necessary to be done, and the
force required to put the road in running order at an early day. |
