Wm. M. Wadley, at one time
Superintendent of the Central (Ga.) Railroad, has been appointed
Assistant Adjutant General, with the rank of Colonel, and as such is
"specially assigned to take supervision and control of the
transportation for the Government on all the railroads in the
Confederate States." Such an officer is much needed, especially
now that several of the railroad companies have quarreled with each
other, and require all freight passing over their lines to be transshipped. |
