| Nashville Freight |
| The Cincinnati Commercial
of Saturday says: |
| The Louisville & Nashville,
and the Nashville & Chattanooga Railroad Company, having notified
shippers that no more freight will be taken for points South of
Nashville, until further notice, owing to the great accumulation of
freight at Nashville, interfered with shipments here by steamers for
Nashville. Large quantities of freight is here to go forward, as soon as
it is ascertained that it will meet with no detention at Nashville. One
house, we understand, have stored over 250 casks bacon detained for
Georgia and Alabama. Shippers, however, may be induced to avail
themselves of the facilities offered by the Memphis packets, and Memphis
& Charleston Railroad. |
