| We regret deeply to learn of
the serious illness and probable death of Capt. E. V. Early, station
agent at Meridian. He was taken sick with yellow fever some days ago. On
Friday a dispatch was sent for medical assistance from Mobile, and Dr.
Gaines went up on a special train to Meridian, returning early this
morning. He found the patient in a most critical condition, and we fear
before this reaches the eyes of our readers, that he has passed away
from life. |
