A Better Opportunity Cannot be Had!!!! |
The War Question Settled and Nobody Hurt!!! |
To the friends of enterprise! to the friends of
internal improvements! to the friends of progress! and to the friends of
the Central Railroad! we say, come forward and cast in your mite, delay
is dangerous. Prompt action is now required of every man who cares for
the reputation of old Lancaster District. The books remain open for ten
days only, then the final decision will be given whether we have a Rail
Road or not. No man should wait upon his neighbor, but let him come
forward and do his duty and clear his skirts. No money (except one
dollar per share) is needed now and will not be perhaps in a year or
two. Our duty is now to secure the Charter and sustain our characters as
men of honor. It is almost certain there will be no war, and none of us
is yet hurt. Let every man come; come all that will and let us never
stop persefvering until we hear the whistle blow. |
