Serious Accident
{Blue Ridge RR} |
We regret to learn that a serious accident occurred at
the Railroad trestle over Six-and-Twenty creek, between Pendleton
and Anderson on Saturday last. In removing the trestle, for the
purpose of putting up a bridge over that stream, the trestle giving
way, fell and knocked two of the workmen off the trestle, who fell
to the ground, a distance of forty and fifty-six feet respectively.
They were dangerously injured. Other persons had a narrow escape. |
