The Chatham Railroad |
We learn from the
President of this Road, that he has procured from the Confederate
Government a sufficient quantity of iron to lay the road from Cary on
the N. C. R. R. to Lockville on Deep River, twenty-three miles.
Energetic means will be immediately commenced to finish the track, which
will give an outlet to the valuable coal and iron of the Deep River
valley. |
