The cars {Mississippi,
Gainesville & Tuscaloosa RR} now run to Messrs. Bell and
McMahon's plantations, about two miles from town and track laying will
be suspended for 30 days to come. The "Force" of the road
will be actively employed for the next few weeks in repairing new
track recently laid and in finishing the grading between the present
terminus and Gainesville. With favorable weather the directory think
they can bring the road to town by the first of March. |
