Washington County R. R. |
We know not whether the
military authorities are doing anything to help this road, but we are
certain that it is very important to the service, and that it is in
much need of repair. It runs through the richest portion of the State.
A large lot of the finest bacon we ever saw, came down it yesterday,
on its way to camps. Delays and failures to connect have been frequent
on this road recently; should these continue, and grow worse, great
inconvenience will ensure, not only to a large portion of country, but
also to the numerous camps and garrisons which have been so largely
dependent on this important link of transportation for supplies. |
