The Sabine Times says that
this enterprise is progressing rapidly, taking into consideration the
hard times. |
The locomotive is running
about five miles on the road between this place and Taylor's Bayou,
and Iron enough already on hand to lay about six miles more, with ties
made for about fifty miles. The road is graded over fifty miles. There
is now in our port five large schooners from New York, all freighted
principally with R. R. material, one came over the bar without
stopping, drawing 10 1/2 feet water, ????? ??med. |
