The following sentence occurs
in a communication which appeared in our paper of Saturday: |
"Most of the losses by
accidents, bad management and unfaithful agents on the Galveston road {Galveston,
Houston & Henderson RR}, may be charged to the constant
public desecration of the Sabbath." |
It is due to the present
managers of the road, who have had it in charge for the last eight
months, to say that no accident of any kind whatever, involving injury
to person or property, has occurred during that time; and that not the
slightest complaint has been made against them or their employees, for
bad management or unfaithful agents. On the contrary, the management
of the road has been, so far as we heard, universally approved. |
