T. H. Campbell, President of
the Southside Railroad Company, publishes a card, denying that the
Lincoln government has made any proposition to transport the guns from
the Bellona Arsenal over the Danville and Southside Railroads, and
says that his company will not transport them or any other ammunitions
of war, for Lincoln's Administration; and that he feels warranted in
saying that the Richmond & Danville Railroad company take the same
position. |
