| Railroad Accident |
| We understand that an accident
occurred on the Charlotte {& South Carolina}
Railroad, yesterday {August 30}, at
Morrison's turn-out. A freight train came down while the passenger train
was stopped at the turn out. Fortunately, the passengers had time to
escape, so that none were injured, while the passenger cars were all
