Sad Accident
Last night, at about 9 o'clock, as the train of the {Jefferson & Lake} Pontchartrain Railroad was approaching the Half-way House, on its way to the city, a careless young woman named Emma Mason, who was standing too near the railway, was knocked down by one of the cars, and had her left hip fractured. She was brought to the city by Officer Holmes, and sent to the Charity Hospital.
