| Child Crushed to Death |
| Yesterday afternoon a boy named Cannon had
climbed into a horse car attached at Louisiana Avenue to the 4 o'clock
up-train on the {New Orleans &} Carrollton
Railroad. As he was on the steps of the car, waving his hat to express
his joy the down train came in view at a pretty good speed, and one of
the cars, striking the boy on the head and shoulder, knocked him down
and ran over him. The boy was pick up insensible, and was not expected
to live. |
