| The Salt Question in Alabama |
| The Mobile Advertiser publishes the
following dispatch from Gov. Moore, of Alabama: |
| Montgomery, Nov. 18, 1861 |
| To L. J. Fleming, Chief Eng. and Gen. Supt. of the
Mobile & Ohio Railroad: |
| Salt will be allowed to go to Mississippi
in all cases where intended for family use. The sole object is to
prevent monopolies and speculation. |
