| Between This City and Montgomery |
| The Mobile & Great Northern Railroad
projected to close the gap between Mobile, Montgomery and Pensacola, was
opened to passengers and freight on the 15th inst. Passengers leave
Mobile daily at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, on the company's steamer,
for the railroad wharf on the Tensas river, and arrive at Pensacola at
half past one o'clock in the morning, and at Montgomery two hours later.
This will be the most pleasant, cheap, and expeditious route between New
Orleans and all points east as far as Richmond and Chattanooga. |
