We are authorized to announce to the Stockholders of the
South Side Rail Road Company that Lemuel Peebles has consented to
serve as its President, if it be the pleasure of the Company to
elect him at the meeting to be held on the 30th inst. It is our
pleasure to say that Mr. Peebles is a merchant of high character, in
this place, of close application and business habits, and the
Company is fortunate in having the opportunity of electing so
valuable a man for the Presidency. |
