Col. Hough, who is the General
Superintendent of the Mississippi & Tennessee Railroad, called
upon us yesterday. His road is now complete from Memphis to Granada,
and connects with the Mississippi Central. It shortens the route to
Memphis fifty miles, and gives us a short cut to that place. We are
pleased to meet Col. Hough, who is a decided acquisition to the road,
and will make an agreeable and efficient Superintendent. |
