Alabama & Florida
{(of Alabama)} Railroad |
We are gratified
to say that the Alabama & Florida Railroad is now complete, and
doubtless a train will reach here today from the "seat of war."
President Pollard deserves praise from all, for his energetic and
untiring efforts to complete this road, so that our Government may throw
any number of troops, at short notice, into Pensacola, for the defence
of that city, and to oppose the advance of any army that the old "b-Abe"
may land at that point. |
