| Fatal Explosion |
| A locomotive boiler attached to a train on
the Wilmington & Manchester Railroad, exploded at Florence Depot
on Saturday morning, killing three men instantly, and wounding the
Engineer. The killed were Mr. Kirby, of Timmonsville, S. C.; Murphy
Kelly, an employee of the Company, and the fireman, a colored man. The
Engineer received a severe wound in the head. |
