The Milledgeville & Warrenton R. R. |
We learn from very good authority, that the
work upon this Road from Mayfield to Milledgeville, will begin
immediately, and that it will progress as rapidly to completion as it is
possible under the circumstances, to do so. Gen. Beauregard has
determined that the road is a great military necessity, and has ordered
the work on it to begin immediately. This is good news. We hope a large
force will be put on the work, and that there may be no unnecessary
delay in completing this important link in the great Southern and
Northern chain of Rail Roads. |
