We regret exceedingly to learn
of the death of our friend, Dr. D. W. Denney, of the "Echo"
company. He died at Beaumont, at the terminus of the railroad {Texas
& New Orleans RR}, where the soldiers commenced their march
on foot, of Palpitation of the Heart. ***** |
{The "dead"
man later contacted the paper to contradict his reported death.} |
