Suicide
|
Col. F. W. Sims, known to many planters of Georgia as a
cotton broker and commission merchant in Savannah, and more recently
business manager of the Savannah Advertiser, committed suicide in San
Francisco on the night of the 25th inst., by taking morphine. Col.
Sims had just arrived in that city from N. Y. We presume his financial
entanglements led to the act of self-destruction, although no cause is
assigned.
