The Salt Question |
Under this caption, we took
occasion week before last to refer to a complaint made against the
Superintendent of the Virginia & Tennessee Railroad for not
permitting the trains of the State of Georgia to run upon the track of
the Va. & Tenn. Road. Mr. Dodamead has written us in explanation
of his policy; and though, as will be observed in the latter part of
his letter, he does not desire its publication, but only wishes to
place us in possession of the facts in the case, to be used as we
think fit, we deem it best to give the letter entire, as that best
explains the whole matter. |
We think it well we called the
attention of Mr. D. to the subject matter of complaint, as he has thus
been afforded an opportunity fully to justify his course of policy. |
