| Death of Col. James B. Johnson |
| On Tuesday, the following dispatch was received by the
editor of this paper. |
| "Murfreesboro, Feb. 24th, 1862 |
| To R. H. Johnson |
| By railroad accident {Nashville &
Chattanooga RR} near this place yesterday, your brother James was
killed. Tom starts home with the remains tomorrow. |
