   Mr. Ochiltree, of Texas, presented a memorial from the Texas & New Orleans Railroad Company. He said he did not desire the memorial read, but simply have it referred to the military committee. It was unanimously adopted.

   Mr. Conrad, of Louisiana, presented the petitions of presidents of railroad companies in Louisiana, and also a bill entitled an act to exempt from duty certain cars purchased by the New Orleans & Carrollton Railroad Company, which petition and bill were referred to the finance committee.
