Death of Mr. Sims |
This afternoon Mr. Charles C. Sims, Sr., an old and
esteemed citizen of Macon, died at his residence in this city. |
Mr. Sims's death was a
surprise as but few knew he was sick. The deceased had resided in Macon
many years, and for a long time was connected with the Macon factory in
a important official position. He was the father of Captain Ruff Sims
and Lieutenant C. C. Sims, Jr., composing the well-known shoe firm of
Ruff Sims & Bro. The death of Mr. Sims will bring regret to all who knew
him. He was a most genial and courteous gentleman, and highly respected
by the community in which he had lived so long. The deceased was
fifty-nine years old. |
