Aid from the South-Western Rail Road |
The Board of Directors of the
South-Western Rail Road at their Annual Session on Thursday, passed
the following: |
Resolved, That this
Company will subscribe $100 per month during the war towards the
support of families represented in the army. |
Resolved, That the
Treasurer do accordingly pay over to the proper authorities, monthly,
the sum of ten ($10) dollars for each county traversed by the
South-Western Rail Road -- viz: Bibb, Houston, Macon, Sumter, Lee,
Dougherty, Terrill, Randolph, Clay and Quitman. |
