Mrs Sarah M. Sims is Laid to Rest |
Was the Sister of Mrs. John McIntosh Kell
-- Interment in Savannah -- Her Macon Relatives |

Savannah, Ga. July 20 -- The
funeral of Mrs. Sarah M. Sims, whose death in Washington, D. C.,
occurred a few days ago took place from the Union Station at 10
o'clock. The interment in Laurel cemetery. |
Rev. Robb White of Christ
church of which Mrs. Sims was formerly a member conducted the
services. The pallbearers were Messrs. R. H. Drake, S. J. Wheaton, C.
S. Connerat, and Joseph Behr. The funeral was attended by a sister of
the deceased, Mrs. John McIntosh Kell, of Griffin and her son and Miss
Bessie Sims of Washington, a daughter of the deceased. Mrs. Kell and
her son will return to Griffin tonight. Miss Sims returned to
Washington this afternoon. |

Mrs. Sims was the widow of
Col. F. W. Sims of Savannah and youngest daughter of N. C. Munroe of
Macon. |
Mrs. Sims leaves two
daughters, Mrs. Walter Ellis and Miss Elizabeth Sims, and a brother
and sister, N. C. Munroe of Washington city, and Mrs. John McIntosh
Kell of Sunnyside, Ga., to mourn her loss. |
Her illness was long and her
suffering very great, all that human skill could do, and all that
tender love could suggest was done to alleviate her suffering, but
without avail. |
