Transportation of Cotton on the Central {(of
Georgia)} Road |
We learn that the locomotive
engine, "William M. Wadley," built at the Workshop of the
Central Railroad, brought into the depot on Saturday last, a train of
forty-four cars, besides the "Conductor's car." The lading
of this train consisted of 1,190 bales of cotton, and four cars of
domestics and sundries. The freight cars were all built at the Central
Railroad workshop. |
