Railroad Accident |
The accident on the Augusta
& Savannah Railroad, Saturday last, of which an account is given
in our telegraphic column, seems to be one of the very few which
ordinary diligence and attention could not have prevented. Mrs. Wm. H.
Starke, of this city, who was severely wounded, reached the city
yesterday and received prompt surgical aid. We regret to learn that
her left foot was so badly crushed that a portion of it had to be
amputated. |
