Accident on the Nashville Railroad |
Smashing of a Freight Train |
The Nashville Banner of the
23d says: "We learn that the down freight train {on
the Nashville & Chattanooga RR}, from Chattanooga to this
city, met with an accident about two miles this side of Chattanooga,
by the siding of the bank, and that twelve cars loaded with freight
were smashed up. We are happy to be able to state that no lives were
lost, and that passengers will not be delayed by the accident, and
that the road will soon be repaired." |
