| The Railroads |
| A force is engaged getting out
the timbers for the bridge destroyed at this point over Pearl river
and Town creek, on the Southern {of Mississippi}
railroad, and the work will be pushed forward to completion
with all possible speed. |
| The cars on the Canton road {New
Orleans, Jackson & Great Northern} run to within four miles
of this city, and it is expected that the repairs on the road to this
point will be completed during next week. |
