Memphis & Ohio Railroad |
The receipts of this road,
from all sources, for the month of August, foot up $37,094.13. The
earnings in August, 1860, amounted to $14,351.98; increase, $23,732.15
-- which is equal to one hundred and sixty-five per cent. This will be
gratifying intelligence to its numerous friends as well as to the
stockholders who are directly interested. We have no doubt now, nor
have we ever had, that this road will [rove to be one of the most
wisely projected and successful roads in the South. |
